After the incident of overdose, he was forced by his parents to stop heroin 'cold turkey'. Renton was confined at home and suffered severe withdrawal symptoms. As he was forcibly separated from this heroin poisoning gang, he again experiences separation anxiety. At many moments of hallucination, he suffered from depression thinking, guilt, shame. Specifically, he was extremely annoyed by the death of the baby during one of their heroin sessions. As a means to start a new life, he reluctantly agreed to trade heroin with his friend. The profit from selling illegal drugs was to be divided between them. Instead, Renton was able to escape with most money. His friends are spiraling in heroin poisoning. This movie ends with showing Renton gave up on getting addicted to a friend at last by immigrating to London.
