I love nothing more than spending the afternoon or watching my favorite wedding movies. It may not be my favorite entertainment of my fiancé, but he is generally a good sport about it. He may not admit it, but he can recite a particular scene from his best friend's wedding from above his head. Quite a few excellent wedding movies have been released in recent years, these are some of my favorites.
My parents meet me has become one of the faves of all time. It was released in 2000 and starred so much fun Ben Stiller so far. The premise is typical of many wedding movies. What makes this movie a lot of fun is the role of the future father-in-law that Robert DeNiro plays. Dynamic directing and Stiller and DeNiro are unforgettable. Oh, that's all ladder!
It is the above sequel that meets Fowkers and it was released in 2004. This time I have the pleasure of meeting the parents of Ben Stiller's character, Greg Focker. His parents are played by Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand, both of which play an unforgettable role. They are in stark contrast to the parents of the bride in the previous movie. The bride's parents are somewhat conservative and stuffy, but the groom's parents are the left part of the new era. These two films became my record favorite wedding movies. It's amazingly funny!
Corpse's bride is another very funny movie on the subject of the wedding. A masterpiece highly evaluated this animation for 2005. This is quirky in a way that all Tim Burton's films are in the way it is, some of my favorite stars are doing voice over work. Johnny - Depp and Helena - Bonham - Carter plays the leading role. The premise goes something like this; a young man has difficulty with his line during his wedding rehearsal. He is lost in the forest to practice alone. He totally nails his line and puts the ring on the branch of the dropped tree ... or so he thinks. It turned out that the branches of the fallen trees are actually aged fingers of the corpses of the dead bodies who resurrected from death, claiming to be legal brides. But your boyfriend loves it!
