Tattershall Castle later owns one of the finest of the medieval tower houses. It has just been described as the finest part of the British medieval bricklayer. Ralf, Lord Cromwell, built this tower in the year 1434046. In fact, there has been a castle here since 1231m when Robert-de-Tattershall licensed the crenellate. Weir Moat encloses a concentric platform, which is divided into an inner Bailey and two outer Baileys. "Study" is "Study", "Steady" is "Steady", "Steady" is "Steady".
The horn turret rises well above the parapet level and ends with decorative brickwork racing machicolations. Between all four turrets, there is a gallery of covered battles sticking out on real machines. The tower basically formed a suite of apartments for the personal use of Cromwell, so it was not a self-contained keep in the old sense.

Sudrey Castle
Sudeley Castle stands in a beautiful garden southeast of Winchcombe. The castle here was besieged during the disorder, but the current structure is the amalgam of the late medieval castle and the Elizabethan mansion. During the reign of Henry VI British commander Ralph Boteler built it with the ransom of the captured French commander. In 1458, Borteler was pardoned for crenellating Suderi without a license, but he could not find favor with the ne-Yorkist regime. He was forced to sell the castle to Edward IV, who granted it to his brother Richard, Duke of Glucastor, later Richard III.
Catherine * Parr, Henry VIII's widow lived here as Thomas * Seymour's wife. She is buried in the chapel of Boteler, which stands just outside the castle. In the 1570s, Fort Chandos rebuilt the courtyard as the latest residence, and after the castle surrendered to the castle in 1644, the courtyard was ruined.
The two squares of the castle were not aligned with each other. The outer square of Ralph-Boller was probably the "base court" with lodgings for the vassals, but the existing range around it is from the Elizabethan rebuilding only the gate passage is original.
