Perhaps the single biggest cause for cats that do not use cat litter is a medical condition called feline urinary tract infection (UTI). Your cat often does not show signs of discomfort or pain early. After your kitten feels serious pain, time and time, she associates urine pain with the cat's toilet, so she stops using her toilet.
However, there are some signs that should be kept in mind. None of us really want to see our kittens use the cat litter box, but it is a good idea to observe her several times a week. As such, this does not indicate the normal behavior or habit of the trash can at this time.
First, we are looking at whether our cat is crying or if there is an obvious pain while she is urinating. If this is a fact, run, don't walk to the phone and don't call your veterinarian right away!
Then, even if Kitty does her business in silence, look at the ball (or puddle) of urine before she fills it. If you see red or pink shades, take the cat to a veterinarian as soon as possible.
If she uses a box and covers her business, then she licks her genitals
Excessively, and meows, you can be pretty sure that she has a cat UTI. If you see this behavior, especially in conjunction with the "accident" around the house, you can be quite specific when dealing with UTI.
After a few minutes, you can save yourself and your cat's discomfort later. By knowing what is normal for her, you catch any problems quickly and get UTI clear before it gets too uncomfortable
