Everyone looks at it and wonders what is or is there something in it. Transport container, or just a container.
The shipping container was invented in 1956 and substantially changed the shipyard from overnight labor-intensive to capital-intensive institutions.
Transport containers are large steel boxes originally designed to reduce the time spent by the ship in the port. We reciprocate gold-saved port charges etc. from the ship. This is a feature of a well-organized and responsible industry.
The term "shipping" is a medieval term in which water transport was the only medium for interstate transfer of goods. Air media was not developed. It is interesting to note that ships continue to dominate as the transport medium for the shipping industry, even after the times when the air routes became very busy. Professional and advanced naval vessels have been developed in the recent past to facilitate the free movement of legitimate cargo.
