How many megapixels are needed?

The digest answer depends on what you do with the completed photo.

First of all we need to understand what pixels are. In terms of digital prints, pixels simply refer to the color points that make up the image. Megapixel is equal to 1 million pixels. The camera has more megapixels, the amount of information it records is greater.

The easiest way to decide which size to print is from printing to camera. A megapixel camera is not planning photos of printing but rather it is fine for those who simply post on the internet. Small prints are tolerable printed from this camera, say 4 x 6.

2 megapixel camera can produce good quality 5x7 prints and fair quality 8x10 prints. When reaching 4 megapixel you can print out excellent quality 8 x 10 prints, acceptable 11 x 17 prints and 5 megapixel camera are good quality 11 x 17

Most families are the best choices and 3.2 huge pixel range cameras will find. The quality of both 5 × & and 8 × 10 prints is very good, but the files on the computer are large because you need to worry that you do not have enough space

Any camera over 5 megapixels is unnecessary for all photo experts. You can also print freelance photographers with excellent quality of enough to do 4 or 5 megapixels.

The choice is up to you. After doing with your picture you look at the above plans, then decide. In most cases spending money for optical zoom and low megapixel is the best choice.
