Cost reduction-selling more than anchors

I bet that I got your attention! It knows all the business owners, but it seems to get lost in shuffle doing our day-to-day business.

I do not intend to give many rhetorics on the subject. Instead, I'm just going to give you a list of 10 points each jogging memory of your business.

The first step is to work to reduce the cost of some of the knowledge methods:

1. Barter-You need to barter goods and services with other companies. Then buy before doing anything for trade.

2. The network is the same as a potential customer or mailing list for trading. This will reduce your marketing / advertising costs. If you do not have a list of leads, barter your goods / services for lead.

3. Wholesale / Bulk Purchase-You can save a lot of money buying your business supplies. Get members in wholesale warehouses (such as Costco, Sam Club, etc.) or buy through a mail order. I want my office supplies / paper to deliver money to the telecom vendor as well at home. No power saving cars from the store to the office and no money! What a deal.

4. Free Things-Try to visit thousands of "goods" sites on the Internet before buying business supplies. In free software, graphics did business such as legal form, online service.

5. Borrow / rent-buy some of the business equipment and need it for a short period of time? It is a rental shop by yourself or from rental equipment.

6. Online and Offline Auctions-Online and offline auctions on office furniture, equipment, cars and trucks. Pay special attention to those auction held by law enforcement agencies or the IRS away from items held from criminals. I do not intend to say that, so before bidding only the items of the commercial ticket of the payment.

7. Plan ahead-make a list of equipment or supplies you will need in the future. Look for great sales when you go on sale before you need them, and purchase your items for the store.

8. Abuse-free places where equipment is used-equipment and equipment can be bought new. Car, desk, file cabinet, etc. You can find it at yard and garage sales, used stores, message boards, and free press. Some excellent items are sometimes offered when the business decides to move or is closed.

9. Negotiation, Negotiation, Negotiation! This is a lost art. You should always try to negotiate a low price for any business device or supply. There is no loss in trying it. I pretend to be talking to a used car salesman.

10. Leave it to a new supplier for a searchable search. Look for low price and high quality suppliers. When I found it, the difference appeared in the trial. You may not need to get a better deal from him and change it. Don't be just satisfied with a few. It is a business when it is determined that you are your favorite supplier.

If you do not have native California, you may feel it has been a bit difficult to discuss. I hope that native New Yorkers will learn from doing these things.

Just remember! All millionaires did not gain wealth through inheritance.

In the next Saturday column I will give the other half of the equation. How to fix under more sales.
